API changes without notifying users: date-time format change

It happens over and over again, that you change your API (not keeping backwards compatibility). Very professional .... no words.

This time you changed the date-time format for the https://api.join.com/v2/applications endpoint -> createdAtGte parameter. Why? And will this stay now as it is or are you going to change it back again, without informing users?
